Only a handful of restaurants in the history of gastronomy might be credited with inventing a cuisine or even a dish, one of them is Moti Mahal, which made ordinary curry a butter filled delight, which turned the ordinary village tandoor for baking into a royal mode of innovation resulting into tandoori chicken and butter chicken, heralding a complete revolution in taste, a transformation in Indian eating habits and a special place on the international gourmet map, the restaurant that grew to be a legend since 1920 and the man behind was Sir Kundan Lal Gujral.

Mr. Ashim Gujral is the Chairman of Moti Mahal Delux Group of Restaurants. He is also the Chief Executive Officer and Proprietor of Moti Mahal Delux Hospitality. He is Grandson of Legendary Kundan Lal Gujral, the person who introduced Tandoori Cuisine to the world by inventing the famous Tandoori Chicken and placing India on the World culinary map.

In addition to providing leadership for the management of restaurants in several countries, Mr. Ashim Gujral has been instrumental in pioneering the development of the new look of Moti Mahal. The ‘’Moti Mahal’’ brand has come to represent fine dine modern luxury restaurants.

Mr. Ashim Gujral is credited with placing Moti Mahal on the international map with the opening of several new fine dine restaurants in important locations in U.A.E. and Bahrain

To take a step beyond his grandfather, Mr. Ashim Gujral’s sole efforts have added various other cuisines and concepts under the umbrella of Moti Mahal Delux Hospitality.
