Intex Square to take up additional franchised stores

Intex Square, a small-format CDIT retail chain and a undertaking of Intex Technologies headquartered at New Delhi, is planning speedy expansion by way of franchising. The company made its first appearance in retail segment with a maiden store at Meerut in September 2009.
The company has 60 stores at present and plans to add 100 stores by the end of the current fiscal year. Intex Square may set up another 300-400 stores by the end of 2012. Currently, the company has all franchised stores except one operated (at GIP, Noida).
Intex Square offers products like PCs, netbooks, UPS, web cameras, keyboards, mouse, headphones mobile phones, multimedia speakers, DVD players etc. Intex products are also accessible at more than 140 hypermarkets and specialty retail chains all over India in the shop-in-shop formats.
