Advocating the cause of molding lives, shaping careers and influencing mind-sets in a refreshingly different manner is HPS (Kids). In an interview, Ahefaz Lakhani, MD, HYDERABAD PUBLIC SCHOOL PVT. LTD, shares his experience of participation in the Mumbai FRO. Namita Bhagat (NB): Share the origin and growth of your company and how did the company opt for franchise route? Ahefaz Lakhani (AL): Every field goes through recessionary period but some sectors like education and the hospital sector are largely beyond the impact of recession. Therefore, I selected the education field for its resilience. HYDERABAD PUBLIC SCHOOL PVT. LTD is an Academic Institution with a difference. HPS (Kids) is a branch of the company and caters to kid’s education. It has been founded to fulfill the needs of young wards of Play School, Nursery, LKG and UKG. The school advocates the cause of molding lives, shaping careers and influencing mind-sets in a refreshingly different manner which borders on the unconventional yet absolutely contemporary. Moreover, the education sector is not only a unique business but also provides lot of self satisfaction. We opted for franchise route to achieve scalability of the business by exploring other geographical areas and also deliver quality education through our initiative across India. NB: Promotional strategy plays a very significant role in the appropriate growth of the brand. Kindly elaborate on the strategy you adopt to enhance the reach of your brand? AL: Yes, effective promotional strategy is a key factor for the brand’s success. On our part, we adopt various strategies including both the print media and the electronic media. Besides this, we have tied up with Google, Just dial, Asklila, Sulekha as far as internet media is concerned. Also, we advertise through hoardings and newspapers. NB: Your Company has participated in FRO Mumbai. What factors motivated you to participate in the event? AL: At the FRO, we can meet people and investors who are interested in our brand and venture. Participation in such shows not only enhances our brand image but also increases the brand visibility. We can interact with genuine, eligible as well as potential investors who would like to associate with us. We believe, FRO would help us to add number of franchisees to our existing franchise network. NB: Share your experience of being one of the participating companies at FRO Mumbai. AL: The experience of participation in the FRO was good. We met prospective franchise buyers as well as came in contact with our competitors. By participating in the event, we expect to grow our business further. Also, we are getting good support through such expos for our promotion of our brand. We aspire to reach out to more and more people and spread our business throughout the country. Therefore, we believe by creating a right and trusted brand image we would be able to significantly grow our company. NB: What advice would you like to give to the entrepreneurs and investors aspiring to participate in the show to get maximum benefits from it? AL: The Franchise Retail & Opportunity Show will provide good exposure to your brand and help in building and strengthening the brand and also discover and employ different strategies for expansion, growth and optimising profitability. The event will help the businesses in good relationship building with the competitors as well and take the business to the next level.
