Dividends Of Franchising Starting with a simple idea, the brand has developed into one of the most trusted vendor companies in India. In an interaction Ghouse Mohiuddin, Managing Director, Café Desire shares his experience of participation in FRO organized by Franchise India Holdings Limited.

Namita Bhagat (NB): Share the inception and development of your company. How did the company opt for franchise route?
Ghouse Mohiuddin (GM): We started with a simple idea that has developed over time.I began by offering hot beverage solutions and hoped for its success. All I needed to do
was to empathise with our potential customers, address their needs and solve the problem with some simple offerings. Our business is straight and simple; it is all about offering hot beverage solutions (primarily tea and coffee) at the work place through our range of vending machines. In the process we realised that there was a huge demand for uninterrupted supply of hot beverages in many small and big offices. The market had a space for quality product and superior service and we filled up the gap. We invested all our energy and focus to become most trusted vendor-company in the country. Our efforts worked wonders. Looking back at the past few years, I can say “rest is history”. We adopted franchise route to manage our growth and it has paid good dividends and peace of mind.

NB: Could you elaborate on the promotional strategy your company implemented to achieve the suitable growth of the brand?
GM: The promotional strategy creates a connection of customers with the brand. We designed a proper strategy to communicate with consumers and let them know what does our brand stands for.

NB: Your company participated in FRO held in Jaipur, what factors motivated you to participate in the event?
GM: FRO is a right platform to meet like minded people. It also helps companies enhance their reach in the tier 2 and 3 towns. Franchise India Holdings manages to pull target audience to the event.

NB: Share your experience of being one of the participating companies at FRO.
GM: Well there was Quality crowd in the event and we are expecting some closings also.

NB: What are your expectations regarding the brands’ participation in the event and how would it contribute the growth of your company?
GM: We only meet people who are interested in starting some business and always communicate with right audience. As I have already said, the event is a right stage to meet right crowd and like minded people.

NB: What advice would you like to give to the entrepreneurs and investors aspiring to participate in the show to get maximum benefits from it?
GM: Participation in such events is must. If you are in the business and want to scale up business operations than it is the right platform to announce your presence and credentials.
