Befitting Profits Despite being launched in the peak of recession the club was a runaway success with 500 registered members in presales even before the club opened. In an interview, Srileka Reddy (Director-Marketing), SNAP Fitness, India shares her experience of brand’s participation in recently held FRO, Hyderabad organized by FIHL.

Namita Bhagat (NB): Share the origin and growth of your company and how did the company opt for franchise route?
Srileka Reddy (SR): Force Fitness is the Master Franchise for Snap Fitness in India. Force fitness has 2 partners- Dr.Vikram BM (Managing director) and Srileka Reddy (Director-Marketing).Our first Snap club was launched in November 2008 in Bangalore, Indira Nagar. Despite being launched in the peak of recession the club was a runaway success with 500 registered members in presales even before the club opened. After that there was no looking back with 25 clubs signed up over the past 2.5 years

NB:Promotional strategy plays a very significant role in the appropriate growth of the brand. Kindly elaborate on the strategy to enhance your company’s reach.
SR: Our promotional strategy for franchise sales includes participation in trade shows, online marketing, print media and targeting our existing member data base of our clubs as 70% of our franchisees are members of our clubs. They are the people who understand and believe in the model.

NB:Franchise India Holdings Limited organizes series of events in the form of BOS (Business Opportunity Show) and FRO (Franchise and Retail opportunity) Show every year to provide a platform to the entrepreneurs and investors to come face to face. Your company participated in FRO Hyderabad, what factors motivated you to participate in the event?
SR:We have participated in many events organized by Franchise India and will continue to do so as they are very well organised and we are able to promote brand visibility as well as get in contact with our target clientele.

NB:Share your experience of being one of the participating companies at FRO.
SR:We were happy with the response as we got the opportunity to meet many potential franchisees.

NB:How do you think the brands’ participation in the event would contribute to the growth of your company?
SR:Since we are using the franchising route for expansion, participation in the event would contribute to the growth of our company by helping us to get in touch with potential franchisees.

NB:What advice would you like to give to the entrepreneurs and investors aspiring to participate in the show to get maximum benefits from it?
SR:We would definitely advice entrepreneurs and investors to participate in the show to showcase their brand and build visibility and business.
