Subway all set to open new outlets via franchising
Subway, a quick food service (QSR) restaurant chain has plans to open 45 new outlets via franchising in India by 2011-12.

Subway, a quick food service (QSR) restaurant chain has plans to open 45 new outlets via franchising in India by 2011-12. The company would invest Rs 40 crore towards its pan India expansion. The new 45 outlets would be located mainly in the metro cities. However looking at its popularity, these outlets will also expand to cities like Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad.
More over, the expansion process will be facilitated by Delhi-based McCann Erickson India recently appointed as brand’s new agency of record. The QSR chain is also aiming to have 530 units by 2015 in its network. Currently, the company operates 205 outlets in India and aspires to take its count to 250 by the end of this fiscal.
Subway entered India 10 years back and is successfully expanding across India.
