gordonMax set to spread its sparkles in India

gordonMax & Co. Pvt. Ltd, Singapore based creators of diamond simulants, is all set to expand in India via franchising and company-owned operations this year. The company was founded in Singapore in 2001 and today it has outlets across the Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines and India. The brand is a massive success with cosmopolitan women across SE Asia's metropolitan areas.

The company currently has two retail outlets in the NCR, headed by their India master franchise. Traditionally, gordonMax has limited their franchise ownership to one entity per country, but as of August 2010, they have decided to open the Indian market up to sub-franchise arrangements, a first since the company began operations nearly a decade ago.

The company has plans to open an additional two company-owned stores in India, as well as around 10 sub-franchises across India's Tier I cities by the end of 2011, taking advantage of the burgeoning demand for high-quality, reasonably-priced fashion jewellry in India's major cities.
